Male revue shows and male stripping in general was started in 1976 with a club called the Chippendales in Los Angeles according to male stripper academy.
Paul Snider, a Canadian nightclub manager, came up with the concept of a male revue act. A New York-based choreographer named Nick De Noia used his creative flare to create a more dramatic and hands-on experience, transforming male performances into a spectacle that would excite women all over the world.
